A wonderful experience strolling past food stalls after food stalls sampling some of the very best dishes offered by street vendors in Taipei. Must-tries included 潤餅 ("Run Bing") which is a spring roll wrapped with a generous servings of ingredients consisting mainly of chopped vegetables and minced meat, smelly tofu which in fact really flavourful and full of fragrance, and 鹹酥雞(“Xian Su Ji") which is a Taiwanese night market staple. The beauty of this place s the fact that even locals frequent it. Perfect for foodies in search of authentic flavours apart from the conventional go-to places such as Shilin Night Market!
The Place
This night market is particularly good for those on budgeted trips as the items here are cheaper than other night markets.

25 Sep 2019Love to visit night market with lesser tourists. Although not near to any metro station, however local bus transportation can easily reach here. Nice food also available for Nanjichang Night Market compare to other night market in Taiwan. Love the 八栋汤圆,worth to try out if you get to visit this night market.

1 Sep 2020Kebap everywhere. A variety of choice if you fancy Taiwanese local tastes mixing with some foreign elements. Unlike some others night markets that sell clothes as well, this place is literally just for dinner.
