I've had mixed experiences at Plug Nickel. On one hand I've been served by a girl who was absolutely lovely and so kind to me, my boyfriend and the two dogs and we had a great experience. On the other hand I walked over to look in the street-facing food display and the male staff member yelled out "Guys, I'm done" when I'd barely approached the counter. It was 3:03 and I understand that the place closed at 3 (because he yelled it out at me) however I only wanted a vegan sandwich that was pre made - and didn't even want it toasted. So that was really disappointing. If he had been nicer about it then I wouldn't have cared.

12 Jul 2020Great little spot to come visit. The staff are very friendly and most importantly the coffee is delicious. I'm looking forward to returning here to have a meal once the restrictions have been eased. For now though, it'll just be takeaway coffees and perhaps a toastie.
