Stroopwafels

One of Amsterdam’s most popular treats, stroopwafels are made from two thin wafer cookies stuck together by a caramel filling. The dough used to make the cookies is pressed in a waffle iron, hence the name “wafel”. Freshly made, they are warm and gooey, making them a great snack for the colder months.
