People flock to Batam for many reasons. Shopping and cheap seafood are certainly up there, but for adrenaline junkies, you’re probably here for the water sports and other exciting activities. From water skiing to paintball, here are some of the most exciting things to do in Batam.
Water Skiing, Wakeboarding, Knee Boarding

Ever wanted to feel what it’s like to glide across the surface of the ocean with the wind in your hair? Batam is the perfect place to try these water sports as there are many affordable options available.
If you’d like to do it at the beach there are a couple of resorts like Cabana Club and Harris Resort that offer these services; you’d have to pay an entrance fee if you’re not staying, however. Monkey Beach Hut Sea Sport Centre is also a popular choice that’s more open to the public. They charge IDR 600,000/SGD60 for a 20-minute ride - prices here.
If you’re thinking of spending the entire day doing water sports, you may want to consider Cable Ski Park or Batam Wake Park. These parks are dedicated entirely to wakeboarding and will probably be a better value for money. A full-day pass costs IDR 650,000/SGD65.

Again, you’ll find it at Monkey Beach Hut where couple packages are available - how romantic! It costs IDR 380,000/SGD 38 per person and IDR 550,000/SGD 55 for couples.
