It's October, the long awaited season of pumpkins, candy, and of course, Halloween. This month, check out a spectacular lineup of all-things horror around our tiny red dot.

From Universal Studios’ annual Halloween Horror Night turned exhibition to a mystical Halloween package at Andaz Singapore, there’s no shortage of activities for those who enjoy spine-tingling experiences.

Get ready to celebrate the spooky season at these thrilling Halloween events this month.

Halloween Horror Night Exhibition

After a year of hiatus due to the pandemic in 2020, Halloween Horror Night is back with a twist, but still as scary as ever. Instead of typical haunted houses and scare zones, the event is refashioned as an exhibition. From now until November 7, have a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to put this annual scare fest together. From terrifying displays, deadly facts, and the night’s scariest icons, this exhibition is not for the faint hearted.

If you are looking for something sweeter and more tame, visit its Trick or Thrills adventure. Here, guests will have a chance to collect delectable confectioneries from candy ambassadors and meet Illumination’s Wolfman Minion along the way. While you are here, stop by its various food carts where you will find some Halloween-inspired sweet treats.

Solve a mystery murder along the eerie halls of Old Changi Hospital this season. With 340 video footage, flashbacks and spatial audio-surround sound, this unique virtual escape-room activity definitely dials up the horror this year.

Written by award-winning playwright Chong Tze Chien, Murder at Old Changi Hospital takes you on a journey as a paranormal investigator, uncovering events leading up to the murder of a young canteen worker, and the disappearance of four commandos.

While this virtual escape room is available from October 8 to November 7, visit during Halloween weekend and experience a 2.5 hour live theatre escape room experience. Only available during Halloween weekend, don’t miss out on this unique experience.

Andaz Singapore Halloween Staycation

Enjoy a mystical Halloween at Andaz Singapore, with its first ever Halloween package, which comes with a one night stay in a themed room, tarot card reading, and a crystal pairing session.

Enjoy the views of the city as you sleep alongside an edible graveyard, witches fingers, and other gruesome treats. After, take part in a 15 minute tarot card reading session by Perlyn Siew, either virtually or at The Moon’s cosy shophouse. Guests will also get to take home a crystal that you manifest, which should help bring good energy amidst all that’s going on around the world at the moment.

Royal Albatross Ghost Ship

Step onboard Royal Albatross and sail around the fictional Sentosa Triangle region. From October 27 to 31, watch as this extravagant ship transforms into a spooky ghost-ship cruise. As you sail around the sea, enjoy an extraordinary 3 or 6-course dining experience, with a dark twist to satisfy appetites.

During your meal, listen for ghostly howls of the sea hounds and cries of ghostly souls. If you are feeling brave, ask the crew “where’s the ghost?” and you’ll be shown to the haunted Captain’s cabin. No one knows what may happen inside...good luck to those who have the courage to venture in.

From a mysterious horror maze to a haunted playground, this experience is definitely a destination for horror fanatics to visit.

Don’t miss the Devil’s Bend: dodge the spirits of drivers killed at this infamous location while attempting to pedal through its treacherous bends. While you’re here, keep your eyes out for the residents of SuperSpook, including The Nun, the Killer Bride, Wicked Witch, Clown, and Zombie.
