As an attraction, the Singapore Botanic Gardens is known for being a treasure trove of botanical experiences, but did you know how awesome and diverse their culinary experiences are? Whether you’re looking to refuel after a day of exploration, or making reservations for a distinctive experience in a beautiful floral environment, the Gardens has an option for you! These are all the eateries and restaurants that the Gardens has to offer.

The Halia is the ideal parkside restaurant, its calm atmosphere and wooden architecture blending perfectly with the surrounding slopes and gentle foliage of the Ginger Garden. In fact, ‘halia’ means ‘ginger’ in Malay, and the location was developed alongside the Ginger Garden in 2000.

Enjoy a diverse menu of Contemporary European Food with an Asian Touch, with unique options for Breakfast, Brunch and Set Lunches. In the menu, you’ll find special meals served alongside ginger plants you can see in the garden, and a wide variety of vegetarian options!

If you come here, be willing to spend as their pricier options go into the $60 ranges. However, their quality of food is divine and their unique garden atmosphere is unmatched, giving a quality fine dining experience in the Ginger Gardens.

Casa Verde

Featuring a trattoria (Italian for a take-out style restaurant) environment, Casa Verde maintains an inviting shopfront with plenty of open air seating and a large ordering counter. Their name means ‘Green House’ in Italian - appropriate considering their location in the heart of the Gardens.

This restaurant specialises in affordable and authentic Italian food, from pasta to sandwiches and wood-fired thin crust pizzas. If you’re looking for a more local flavour, Singaporean specials like Laksa and Bak Kut Teh make their modest appearance for your eating leisure.

Meals are much more affordable here, with cafe-like prices ranging from low $10 to high $30. You can expect their hearty, all-day food to soothe your aches and pains after a long day of trekking the Gardens’ sights.

Fusion Spoon

Casual dining is the name of the game at Fusion Spoon, with cosy indoor seating surrounded by in-house greenery. Fusion Spoon’s environment is more akin to a food court than restaurant dining, and should be comfortably familiar to any visitor.

Menu items at this location cover many different genres including Western, Asian and Japanese cuisine and pastries, Waffles and even Korean Bingsu Ice.

Your wallet will definitely be more comfortable here, with an average price of $8 for a decent meal. You might enjoy the decidedly family friendly atmosphere with lots of seating and open spaces to manoeuvre.

Bee’s Knees @ The Garage

Bee’s Knees is one of two options at the Garage, drawing inspiration from the social behaviours of bees. It’s a laid-back cafe and bistro by day and an easygoing hangout spot by night, encouraging its patrons to unwind and socialise among the greenery.

An all-day menu is available with croissants and fruit bowls, but you’ll probably want to look at their lunch and dinner options. Day time fare includes pastas, pizzas and salads, while their dinner menu offers heavier options alongside a four course dinner special.

It’s definitely pricier at an average of $27 a meal, but you’ll be paying for great service and a wonderfully fresh environment to truly enjoy your meal in.

Botanico @ The Garage

Another of two options at the Garage, Botanico is a restaurant and bar option located on the second floor. It boasts a blooming indoor dining hall and outdoor terrace and bar, allowing for both a vibrant indoor and open air experience.

Botanico is inspired from the word Botany, and its menu offers unique meals with a diverse range of natural ingredients for your dining pleasure. Many of its items are contemporary European cuisine with Asian inflections, with many vegan or vegetarian options available. There are many different menus to browse, and a few course options available if you’re looking for a finer experience.

Food For Tots

This eatery caters more for those with children in tow. Appropriately situated in the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden, Food For Tots is a family-friendly cafe that offers a cheery, playful environment catered to kids - perfect after a family day trip!

Their menu offers a variety of all-day brunch items like their breakfast works (a full-blown english style breakfast) and a selection of western inspired mains. Of course, there’s a separate kids menu for ages ten and under, with whimsical decorations and a wide variety of brunch options.

Expect to spend about $15 a person here, with cheaper options for children. It’s a nice environment for a family outing, and you’ll probably enjoy coming here after a day of fun with the kids.

Cluny Food Hall is a food court situated in the heart of the Gardens, and likely the cheapest and most familiar option available to visitors. While it caters more to employees in the area, it’s still a nice place to have a meal, surrounded by the general greenery of the Botanic Gardens.

Like many food courts in Singapore, a wide array of options are available from Teo Chew cuisine, to chicken rice, to western food. There’s definitely something here to alleviate your hunger, all for your average food court price too.

Corner House

The Corner House is a casual, fine dining restaurant, offering a very different experience from the other eateries in the Gardens. The building was built in 1910 and housed one Eldred John Henry Corner, a British botanist that contributed greatly to Singapore’s botanical history. Now, it has been modernised to host a unique culinary experience in one of the Garden’s most significant historical buildings.

A fine dining restaurant through and through, the menu can’t be specified as it changes with the seasons, and all of it comes in the form of an Omakase Style dining experience: three to seven course meals served with distinction from the chef. You can expect meals with French-Asian interpretations, as inspired by executive Executive Chef David Thien’s own culinary journey.

Best not to come here lightly. They have a dress code of smart casual and have less availability than other eateries in the Gardens. Visit their website to make a reservation and expect to spend heavily for a truly exquisite experience in one of the Gardens’ most historically significant sites.
