Looking to explore India’s nightlife? You’ve come to the right place because Delhi offers some of the widest selection of bars that you can find in India. From speakeasies to fusion cocktails, here are 7 bars in Delhi for every type of drinker.
Ek Bar

Ek Bar has to be in your itinerary if you’re out for a unique experience. Ek Bar prides themselves with their daring, original drinks. Take the “Royal Indian Punch” for example which blends whisky with kahwa tea and Indian spices. Ek Bar boasts a refreshing take on cocktails by infusing it with local herbs and spices.
The menu isn’t the only aspect that’s eclectic, so is their music! They host live events that feature genres which include, but are not limited to, folk, jazz, disco, and electronic.
Location: First Floor, Gali Number D17, Shiniwas Puri, Block D, Defence Colony, New Delhi, Delhi 110024
Public Affair
This speakeasy-inspired bar is worth a stop if you’re in the Khan Market area. With equal emphasis on its food and drinks, the pre-drinking bites won’t disappoint. Their cocktails are the star of the show; try some of their American Prohibition Era cocktails, it’s speakeasy-themed after all!
Location: 67-68, Khan Market, Delhi
Piano Man Jazz Club
If you want a taste of the local jazz scene topped with classy cocktails, Piano Man should be your next stop. They’re also known for their wood-fired pizzas! Jazz isn’t the only genre on their playlist though, you’ll hear funk and R&B among other tunes in this bar.
It’s important to note that this isn’t a traditional bar. They take live music seriously and the owner has gone on the record with his disdain for loud conversations during performances. That said, it’s a charming place to get a drink while enjoying live music.
Location: B 6-7/22 Safdarjung Enclave Market, Opp Deer Park, New Delhi
BarShala
BarShala is Delhi’s no-nonsense bar chain. Due to its cheap booze, the chain is popular among the younger crowd looking to get drunk without having to empty their wallets. The cheapest beer you can get starts at RS 80/SGD 1.50 per can. Most of the food here is also local Indian fare unlike the more “western” bars in Delhi.
Location: 17 outlets spread across New Delhi
Monkey Bar
Monkey Bar takes ambience to a whole new level. The pyramid-shaped roof is made entirely of glass so you can watch as the night slowly envelopes the bar. Brick walls and dim lighting, Monkey Bar is the go-to for anyone who’s selective with their bar ambience. There’s also a pool table and foosball if you’re feeling like doing something more than just sitting and drinking.
Location: Local Shopping Complex 11 Next to Mini Cooper Showroom, Vasant Kunj Marg, Pocket B-C, 6 & 7, New Delhi
Irish House
Draught beer barrels, brownish decor tinged with a bit of green, it’s Irish-themed alright. They’ve got a wide selection of draught beer and great burgers and pizzas to go along with it! Also, what Irish pub is complete without sports? They’ve got all of that covered.
Location: Unit 02, Upper Ground Floor, Epicuria Food Mall, TDI South Bridge, Nehru Place Metro Station, New Delhi
Rodeo
Authentic Mexican food and drinks in India? That’s certainly something you don’t hear every day. Rodeo is Delhi’s first fully Mexican-themed bar and it’s smacked at the heart of Connaught Place. This bar-cum-restaurant is perfect if you’re craving margaritas or micheladas.
Location: 12-A, Rajiv Chowk, Block A, Connaught Place, New Delhi
