Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2021
Designed by Thailand artist Boonyavee Boonsakda, in collaboration with the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, These Moonlit Moments showcases an outdoor lantern installation as part of Wan Qing’s Mid Autumn festivities. Pose with adorable lantern characters, including the Moon Rabbit, a specially created lantern designed based on the Jade Rabbit from the folktale. Apart from the lantern installation, join in on the festival fun with Wan Qing’s online activities such as lantern riddles, craft workshops and more.

Mid Autumn Festival @ Jurong Lake Gardens
Enjoy a lantern-lit walk in nature under the stars at Jurong Lake Gardens’ Mid-Autumn festivities. From 7pm, Jurong Lake Gardens lights up with stunning lantern displays around the gardens, along with guided tours and workshops. Soak in the festive atmosphere at an online concert featuring homegrown talents including The Freshman, Flame of the Forest, and Dawn in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Moonfest
Embark on a journey through the origins and culture of the Mid-Autumn Festival at Esplanade’s Moonfest, a celebration of the festival through traditional performances and cultural workshops. Watch an Wuxia drama staging at Esplanade’s theatre, listen in on a Chinese opera, and make your own paper lanterns as you explore what makes Chinese culture fascinating. Visitors can also take part in a self-guided tour that takes them across Esplanade in an engaging adventure to discover the story behind the Mid-Autumn Festival. Mid-Autumn Festival 2021 (滨海花园庆中秋) @ Gardens by the Bay
Centered around the theme “Blessings”, Gardens by the Bay brings impressive illuminated lantern displays and performances to spread the festive cheer this year. The centerpiece of the festivities, a sky-lantern display set against the backdrop of a mountainous forest, represents wishes for good blessings in the coming year. Take a stroll under hand-painted paper lanterns in a community installation, hunt for lantern rabbits in an osmanthus tree forest, and admire illuminated traditional art in a special exhibition by Korean traditional artists, Kim Hong-do and Kim Jun-geun.
