Disney’s oldest and longest operating waterpark, Typhoon Lagoon is a popular option amongst older kids and adults, and is home to one of the largest wave pools in the world. For the Thrill Seekers
Start your day at Typhoon Lagoon with Miss Adventure Falls, an exciting group raft ride that will have you brought up using a conveyor belt before sending you raging down the white-waters. One of the park’s most popular rides, the queues and waiting time can get very long as the day progresses, so it is best to check this off your list as soon as possible.

Check out the Surf Pool chalkboard near the edge of the beach, where the park lists timings for the scary tsunami tidal experience at one of the largest wave pools in the world.

Thrill seekers 122cm or taller are in for a high-octane experience at Humunga Kowabunga, where guests will find themselves speeding down the 50 feet tunnel at a crazy 50km/h.

Grab a friend and head to one of the park’s signature attractions Crush ‘n’ Gusher, which has a group of water coasters raft slides which you can ride down in pairs. The attraction is powered by super water jets, so you know that you’ll be in for a vigorous and high-intensity ride.

For Kids
Right on top of Mount Mayday there are 3 waterfalls – Mayday, Keelhaul and Gangplank Falls - for guests to whoosh through, with courses of bumps, twists and turns for both single and group riders.

For families travelling with with little kids, head to Ketchakiddee Creek, which allows toddlers 48cm and below to splash around in a safe space with scaled-down slides.

For the Less Adventurous
A series of stairs brings you up to Storm Slides, a trio of winding body slides – Jib Jammer, Stern Burner and Rudder Buster - that are less intense but still offers a thrilling experience.

Typhoon Lagoon’s lazy river, the Castaway Creek, is a rainforest-themed 2000-foot-long flowing river that circles around most of the circumference of the park’s attractions. So grab a float, sit back, relax and enjoy the view as you float down this beautiful lazy river.

Tuck into a full and satisfying meal at Leaning Palms, a restaurant with a large seating area perfect for your big group of friends or family. Favorites include the wholesome Beef Short Rib Rice Bowl, while there are also amazing vegetarian options like the Vegan Wrap, Plantain Black Bean Burger and the Vegetarian Sausage Rice Bowl.

Getting to Typhoon Lagoon
Guests can take the Disney shuttle buses, which are provided for guests staying in the resort and partner hotels outside the resort. Guests may choose to drive, for which they can enjoy complimentary standard parking at both water parks in Disney World. Alternatively, you can consider private hires like Uber or Lyft.

Come right when the park opens and queue for the popular rides like Miss Adventure Falls and Humunga Kowabunga first. Not only will you avoid long waiting times, but because FastPass+ is not issued at Typhoon Lagoon, you can also avoid queuing under the hot afternoon sun.

Reduce your load and opt to use the waterproof Magic Bands that will store all your meal credits, cards and tickets in one wearable device. Enter the park and pay for rentals and grubs with just the band!
