Visit a coffee roasting factory to learn about the Lion City’s traditional “kopi.” Learn traditional roasting techniques and get to sample a traditional black coffee, famously known as “kopi O.”
On to another disappearing trade, the local artisans of Singapore’s popular snacks like sachima, pig ear biscuits, and cuttlefish snacks. Listen as they tell you the techniques and history of these local snacks.
Next up is a visit to one of Singapore’s oldest remaining traditional bakeries. Listen intently to the preserved stories of the traditional baker, and get to taste a traditionally-baked bread. Taste the difference between this old-school bread versus the mass-produced ones all over the city.
The last disappearing trade to discover is the art of paper house-making. Meet one of the masters of this craft and hear first-hand stories of old traditions and customs of the Chinese. Among them is the act of burning paper objects as a way of paying respect and praying for ancestors.

- Minimum of 4 people are required to book tour. If total number of travelers do not match the minimum requirement for this trip, the tour will be cancelled and you will receive a notification e-mail 3 day(s) prior to departure
- Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 mins prior to your tour time
- Tour duration is subject to traffic conditions
- Please dressed comfortably in walking gears, bring along an umbrella, water and earpiece(with 3.5 mm jack) for use with our audio headsets
- The number of participants per grouping is subject to Singapore Government mandatory requirements on crowd gathering, and this would include ONE (1) program leader within the group
- We reserve the right to regroup the number of participants accordingly. Please note that covered footwear is mandatory for safety purposes. Participants are not allowed to join the program barefoot, in slippers, or open-toe sandals
