Be picked up from your hotel or the airport and drive for two hours to Kilas Wetlands where you will start your full day trip. Visit Papar, Membakut and Beaufort along the way and take the chance to meet some of the locals. Around noon, reach Monkey Tops River Lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the views of the river bay scenes from the dock. A fishing rod will be provided if you wish to fish from the lodge dock. In the afternoon, coffee or tea and local Malay cakes will be served, before you cruise along the river in search of wildlife and admire the serene mangrove surroundings. Experience the wetland area by boat and with some luck, see the many monkey species that are native here. Disembark for a tasty dinner and continue on a second boat trip, and be mesmerized by the nature after the sun has set. Thousands of fireflies can be seen hovering above the water and are accompanied by the orchestrated sound of frogs, insects and birds. This memorable day tour will end with a transfer back to Kota Kinabalu at around 19:30.
