If you opt for the Standard Pass, you will get unlimited travel on Taiwan Railways for 5 days and unlimited travel on Taiwan High Speed Rail for any 2 days. If you opt for the Express Pass, you will get the same unlimited rides on the mentioned days, plus the option to make seat reservations for the trains and the chances of taking Taroko Express and Puyuma Express when seats are available!

General Information:
  • THSR Timetable
  • TRA Trains Timetable
  • The pass can only be purchased by visitors to Taiwan and own a tourist visa
  • The pass can only be used by the individual traveller and is not transferable
  • The passenger must specify their intended usage period for the pass to the THSR/Taiwan Railway station staff at a ticket window before it can be used
  • The specified valid period cannot be changed
  • During peak hours or national holidays, seat availability is not guaranteed by THSR and Taiwan Railway
  • This voucher is valid for redemption within 90 days of the booking date

To Get the 5 Day Pass:

  • Show your ticket and passport at THSR Ticket Counter
  • Or redeem at TRA main stations (e.g. Taipei Main Station)
    THSR:
    • Get your ticket for Reserved Seat (free, better book at the counter in advance)/Non-reserved seat (Any time of the chosen date) at the counter
    • Show your ticket and passport to the staff near the gate for entrance
    • The validity period for the THSR is any two specified days within the 5 days
    TRA:
    • Bring your passport and show it to the staff at the entrance
    • The validity period for Taiwan Railway is calculated for 5 consecutive days starting from the first date (inclusive) you board the train
